About the Park Hills Fire Department
The Park Hills Fire Department provides fire and rescue services, as well as EMS response to an area of about 1 square mile. The department is staffed during weekdays by two part-time firefighter/EMTs, and at night all calls for service are answered by volunteer members. We protect a little over 3,000 people, and provide mutual aid to neighboring departments, making responses often to assist the fire departments of Fort Wright and Ludlow.
PHFD currently operates two pumpers, Engine 601 and Engine 603, for response to fire and rescue incidents. The department also provides non-transport EMS first response, arriving to administer aid while an ambulance is dispatched from another nearby department.
